For this project we were required to alter the existing classrooms which involved clearing all the furniture and fittings to enable a new wall to be installed to form a new classroom. This formed an opening for a doorway that led into a flexible leaning space. We installed new door openings, inserted new doors and formed ramps to 4 classrooms. We demolished a single storey brick built WC block and made good. All lighting and hating was adapted to suit the new layout and complete decoration was also completed. The new build elements comprised of the removal of trees and a planter and the installation of new footings, new external brick built walls to match existing, new pitched roof to match existing. We installed new lighting, small power, and data cabling and linked the alarms to ensure full compliance with building control. New paving and walls with balustrading and a covered canopy and link to the existing building. We installed new drainage, extended the playground and made good the existing areas.
